Information
  • GEFS ensemble cyclone maps every 6 hours to 16 days (F000-F384), on the 00/06/12/18Z cycles, from all 31 members' 0.5° fields. A cycle appears once the whole ensemble is in; its SyCLoPS maps follow a few minutes after the track maps.
  • SyCLoPS: the Systematic Classification of Low-Pressure Systems (Han & Ullrich 2025), run as on bombcyclones.earth: TempestExtremes finds and stitches every low, SyCLoPS v1.2 classifies each fix, with Hart phase space and 24-hour deepening at each.
  • LAGGED (6 RUNS) shows the current run beside the five before it, all valid at the same time: how the forecast for that moment has changed run to run.
  • SAVE LOOP makes an MP4 or GIF of what you are looking at, for all the frames or just a range, in your browser; SAVE IMAGE saves the map on screen, or the six lagged runs on one PNG. Nothing is uploaded.
  • A service of weathermodels.com. The storms are found on each member's 0.5° grid.
