ABOUT THIS PAGE
  • The Met Office global ensemble (MOGREPS-G) runs 18 members four times a day. Each cycle here is pooled with the one six hours before it: 36 members, every six hours to day 10.
  • Anomalies are against ERA5 1991-2020 (2-m temperature) and CFSR (500 hPa height, 850 hPa temperature). Daily maps and degree days use each place's own local solar day; a daily map is filed at the hour that day ends in UTC.
  • SAVE makes a PNG of the map on screen, or an MP4 or GIF of the loop (all the hours or a range, at the speed chosen), in your browser, with the grid lines if they are on. Nothing is uploaded.
